My name is Griffin Johnston and I'm a cinematographer, photographer and editor currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

My passion for filmmaking began as a kid, borrowing my dad's video camera to make movies with friends in my neighborhood. That passion continued through high school, where my friends and I convinced our school to create a film and video class and eventually won a film festival that led to a showcase at Bumbershoot in Seattle. That experience confirmed what I already knew: I wanted to build a career in filmmaking.

More than 15 years later, I have built a career across cinematography, photography, and post-production, working on commercial, branded, music video, and television productions.

I'm a strong collaborator, working closely with directors, producers, and crew to bring creative visions to life.
